    Rebecca Marino is a Canadian tennis player born on December 16, 1990.

    She turned professional in 2008 and quickly made her mark by winning her first singles title at an ITF event in Trecastagni.

    After a five-year hiatus from the sport, Marino made a successful return by winning the singles title at an ITF event in Antalya in February 2018.

    Throughout her career, Marino has been known for her strong performances on hard courts and has expressed a particular fondness for Canadian tournaments and the US Open.

    Outside of tennis, Marino has a diverse range of interests, including watching movies and hockey, and she is a supporter of the Vancouver Canucks.

    That same year, she was recognized as Tennis Canada’s Female Player of the Year.

    After a five-year hiatus from the sport, Marino returned to tennis in January 2018, winning the singles title at an ITF event in Antalya shortly after her comeback.

    She continued to compete successfully, claiming the ITF Japan 11A crown in May 2019, which helped her re-enter the Top 150 of the WTA rankings.

    Throughout her career, Marino has accumulated one WTA title and 16 ITF titles in singles, alongside notable performances in doubles.

    In 2024, Marino had a successful year, winning her first WTA 125 singles title at the Dow Tennis Classic in Midland, Michigan, and securing her second WTA 125 doubles title at the Abierto Tampico tournament.

    She continues to compete on the WTA tour, participating in events like the Auckland Classic and the Australian Open.

    Despite facing challenges, Marino’s resilience and dedication to the sport have marked her career with significant achievements.
