The president of South Sudan Salva Kiir has said that he cannot deny that money had been stolen from the country as alleged by the profiteer documentary by Kenya’s John Allan Namu.

He said that he was aware of corrupt leaders whom he arrested before the coup by Riek Machar. He said that he did not have the time however to account for money lost but was focused on guaranteeing peace for South Sudan.

The President said that if he achieved peace and the people asked him to go home he will go home. He implicated General Paul Malong as being the mastermind behind he J1 attack  where there was heavy fighting near the presidential palace endangering the life of the president.

Salva Kiir described General Malong as a good soldier but a bad manager saying the only reason he was appointed chief of staff is that it would be disrespectful to appoint  junior officer for the said position.
