We are providing a dedicated internet link, computers, 3G routers and dongles to enable the headmistress to communicate easily with the rest of the staff and even parents where need be, said Ms. Kositany.

She said the internet will help the students connected to the rest of the world and provide them with knowledge. During the event, the Ericsson staff gave mentored the fgirls on career counseling and tips on how to use the internet for research.

The Mandela Day celebration is a corporate social responsibility Ericsson engages in as part of initiatives to make a positive difference in the communities in which they do business. The function concurrently took place in Kenya, Zambia, South Africa, Uganda, Angola, Nigeria and Tanzania.
