Following another low key season which is certain to end trophy-less AFC Leopards are plotting a massive player-overhaul ahead of the next KPL season.
Having parted ways with Argentine manager Rodolfo Zapata and handed the management of the team to Tom Juma and Gilbert Selebwa on an interim basis, Leopards have announced that they will be dropping 11 players.
They will then sign five players for a lean 25-man squad from current 31 ahead of the new KPL campaign starting early December.
“We are restructuring, because we do not want to have a bloated squad again, we need to have players who can help the team.
We are reducing the number of players from the current 31 to 25 players,” Oscar Igaida, the Secretary General told Kwese Sports.
“Unlike in the past, we are going to make few signings, five to be precise.

“Some will not be offered new contracts once their current ones expire at the end of the year.
Some will be granted permission to speak to other clubs because there’s no point in keeping theme here yet they are not in our coach’s plans,” he concluded.
