The Court of Appeal on Thursday upheld the Al Ghurair presidential ballot paper tender.

The Dubai based firm will now print the presidential ballot papers that was scheduled to start on Tuesday.

The five judge bench gave the ruling sighting that it was not mandatory for the public to be involved in the procurement process.

The court also ruled that the High court erred in not paying attention to the peoples’ interests and the timelines outlined in the constitution.

Ballot papers for the governor seat already arrived in the country on Monday night and for the woman representative, senator, Mp and MCA are expected to arrive anytime this week.
