President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday named his 22 member cabinet, awarding political losers, Jubilee party loyalists and non-performing cabinet secretaries named ambassadors.
The Head of State also created a new post, Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) who will ‘broadly be responsible for helping the CS coordinate running of affairs in respective ministries.’
Making their way into the government are: Rachel Shebesh, Ababu Namwamba, Peter Munya, Ukur Yattani, John Munyes.
But what has shocked some is Raychelle Omamo’s continued stay in cabinet and Raphael Tuju’s appointment ‘on a needs basis.’
Uhuru’s announcement came hours after the opposition made their ‘major announcement.’ They released a document that shows Raila Odinga won the nullified August 8 election.
Kenyans online have reacted to the some of the appointments, needless to say they are extremely amusing.

Someone like Rachael Omamo deserved to be retained. She followed instructions given to the letter, eating government salary and growing extremely fat. After all she is the aunt to Uhuru's daughter-in-law.#UhuruCabinet
