    Arsenal Enters Into Three Year Sleeve Sponsorship Deal With Visit Rwanda

    arsenal, visit rwandaThe Rwanda Development Board has entered into a sleeve sponsorship deal with the English Premier League side Arsenal.

    The three year deal will see the team wear ‘VISIT RWANDA’ on their official Jersey shirt sleeves from 2018/19. The logo will also feature on the screens and boards during matches at Emirates Stadium, all interview backdrops.

    The partnership will see one of Africa’s fastest growing economies seal their spot as one of the World’s leading travel destinations.

    Vinai Venkatesham, one of Arsenal’s Chief Commercial Officer lauded the multi-million dollar deal, which he said will introduce Rwanda to the world in a ‘new and dynamic way.’

    “The Arsenal shirt is seen 35 million times a day globally and we are one of the most viewed teams around the world. We look forward to working with the ‘Visit Rwanda’ team to further establish the country as a leading tourist destination,” Vinai said.

    Rwanda Development Board Chief Executive Officer, Clare Akamanzi on her part said that the second easiest place to do business in Africa as ranked by World Bank is thrilled to be partnering with the English Premier league team to showcase its ‘vibrancy, energy and creativity.’

    “Visit Rwanda and discover why we are the second fastest growing economy in Africa. Investors in Rwanda are able to register their businesses in only six hours and prepare to enjoy the opportunities accrued from the free trade agreements that we have signed with over 50 countries,” she noted.

    Arsenal teams; men and women will visit Rwanda and help support the development of the game. Visit Rwanda will also be able to engage Arsenal fans and supporters through their official social media platforms.

    The new kit was unveiled on May 22.
