A political activist was last week robbed at gunpoint after she shared a “selfie” with Deputy President William Ruto. Seventy-nine Kenyans have launched a legal claim in the High Court in London against the Camellia Plc (and other UK companies in the Camellia Group) for alleged human rights abuses by its Kenyan subsidiary, Kakuzi Plc. Nairobi Property owners risk arrest over failure to repaint their buildings. Nairobi County Assembly passed a motion authorising Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) and Nairobi County government to enforce repaint orders in the city centre. The assembly is also preparing a Bill that will ensure building owners repaint their premises every three years. In a statement by the new Commissioner for domestic tax Rispah Simiyu, the commission in conjunction with the multi-agency team impounded products valued at Sh12 million. DCI detectives have arrested a 34-year-old man who was on Wednesday night involved in an armed robbery incident that occurred in Lavington West Estate Phase II.
