Seven pupils on Monday morning succumbed after a classroom collapsed. The morning tragedy happened at Precious Talent School in Ng’ando area along Ngong Road. Two Kenyan men residing in the United States were last week charged sexually assaulting a woman with mental and physical impairments. The duo; Francis Ndegwa Kamau and Kenneth Wagacha Kibe are said to have taken advantage of the woman at Mystic Lake Casino in March. Kamau, 39, was arrested in Minneapolis. On August 8, he was booked at Scott County Jail in connection with third-degree felony criminal sexual conduct. Impeached Kisumu County Finance CEC Nerry Achar will remain in office, an Employment and Labour Relations Court has ruled. Mr Achar was sacked in August after the county assembly adopted a committee report recommending his sacking. Kolwa East Ward Representative Steve Owiti, who moved the motion, wanted Achar fired for alleged abuse of office, incompetence, gross misconduct and gross violation of the Constitution. He was also found guilty of flouting procurement procedures in the purchase of the governor’s vehicle.
