There was chaos at the Lamu West tallying centre after ODM parliamentary candidate Rishad Hamid Ahmed beat down the Returning Officer, Abdalla Chikophe accusing him of rigging him out. Rishad claimed that the R.O doctored the results in favour of the Maendeleo Chap Chap candidate, Stanley Muiruri Muthama. Rishad garnered 10,950 votes against Muthama’s 11,950 votes. A Garissa market was on Thursday set on fire after Ali Korane was declared the winner of the August 8 election. Ali garnered 55, 968 votes against Wiper party candidate, Nathif Jama’s 50,471 votes.
