Facebook is tightening the noose on users who continue to spread misinformation even after the posts have been flagged as false. The social media network said it would limit the distribution of userss’ subsequent posts if they repeatedly share posts that have been flagged by its fact-checking partners. Facebook and Instagram have rolled out the option for users to display likes on their posts. Instagram activated  the feature allowing users to choose whether to keep the number of their likes public or hidden are weeks ago. The confirmation comes weeks after various Tech sites, including KahawaTungu reported that the platform was working on the feature. The refurbished Nakuru-Kisumu railway line is set to roar back to life in November, after a facelift by the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) and the National Youth Service (NYS). The line is among the many projects that will benefit the greater Nyanza region, expected to spur economic growth by linking it to Nakuru and Nairobi through seamless transport. Police and the military in Kenya are on high alert following intelligence reports that Al-Shabaab is planning a deadly attack in Kenya. Only 1.69 million bank accounts in Kenya have over Ksh100,000 according to the latest report by the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK). The number has gone up by 134,000, despite Covid-19 setbacks which have seen the economy stagnate and several people lose jobs. Total deposits increased by 13.9 percent from Ksh3.6 trillion in December 2019 to Ksh4.1 trillion in December 2020. “The growth was supported by mobilisation of deposits through agency banking and mobile phones platforms,” said the CBK. At least 25,000 Kenyans holding dual citizenship have lost their Kenyan citizenship based on the repealed Constitution, Interior CS Matiang’i has revealed.
