Kenyans are scrambling to register their SIM cards before the deadline of April 15. Long queues have been witnessed across various registration centres across the country before the deadline lapses in nine days. The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has warned Kenyans that if their SIM cards are not registered by the end of April, they will lose their lines and telecoms services will be halted. Google is rolling out a number of changes including toll road prices, traffic lights information and signs to Maps. The company announced on Tuesday that it will also make some improvements for iOS users including the ability to get Google Maps directions from the Apple watch. Airtel subscribers will from this week start making payments on Safaricom’s Merchant service, Lipa na M-pesa. Tesla CEO  Elon Musk has become Twitter’s biggest shareholder after purchasing a 9.2 percent stake from the social media platform. According to Bloomberg News, Musk purchased the stake on March 14, around the same period when he conducted a Twitter poll asking users about the platform’s adherence to hate speech. Twitter is working on a new feature that will allow users to co-author tweets. The Communications Authority of Kenya has released a new set of Child Online Protection and Safety Guidelines for public debate. Under the Internet safety guidelines, CA proposes that parents provide the identity of minors who will be using smartphones. “Mobile service providers in the development of age-verification mechanism ensure that All SIM cards that are to be used by children/minors shall be registered,” the guidelines say. Detectives have arrested a middle aged man who fled after murdering two women in Nairobi.According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), 28 year old Sebastian Kamande served poisoned food to his wife Rahab Gathoni and her friend Abigael Gathoni, who had come visiting, before fleeing their Dandora home. In the case involving fighting couples, the Detectives established that last weekend, the couple had been invited by the Kamande’s parents in Kakuzi, Murang’a County, to try and help them work out their problems.
