The World Health Organization (WHO) has released a digital training programme for Autistic children in the run-up to World Autism Day on April 2. The e-version of the training programme is being rolled out after a successful face-to-face format pilot in more than 30 countries including Kenya, Brazil, India and Italy. Instagram is rolling out additional direct message options, including the ability to reply to a DM from your feed without having to go to your inbox. The new sharing options will also allow users to send music previews and conduct polls from their group chats. Google is working on a feature to add a ‘highly cited’ label to frequented sources. The sources could include local news publications, interviews, press releases and official announcements. YouTube is experimenting with a timed-reaction feature that will allow users to react through a smiley or confetti emoji at a specific time in a video. The company said it was testing the feature after successfully testing and getting positive feedback about timed comments. Spotify is the latest company to suspend operations in Russia. Cyber-security firm, Kaspersky has suffered a setback after US regulators declared it a ‘threat to national security’. The Russian antivirus software maker has been added to a threat list alongside Chinese companies such as Huawei and ZTE. This means that US will henceforth restrict Kaspersky’s dealings in the country and block it from receiving payment made from government subsidies. The Kenya Film and Classifications Board (KFCB) has sounded an alarm over video gaming joints exposing children to offensive content. The board said that it was investigating a number of joints in the in the North Rift region that were exposing children to graphic and violent games.
