The son of Inspector General Hillary Mutyambai might soon face charges for an accident that occurred on Thursday. David Mwenda was involved in an accident that resulted in the death of two motorcycle riders and injuries to a pedestrian. Students of a school in Nandi county have been sent home after a dormitory in the premises was burnt down. The fire was allegedly started by five girls who sneaked into the dormitory at Holy Rosary Girls, Kobem. According to the school Principal Monica Kirwa, the students were preparing for their extra-curricular activities at 11 am before they burnt the dormitory. “The dormitory was housing 85 students and nothing was salvaged,” Kirwa said. Students of Jamhuri High School will be required to pay Sh23 million for the damages caused by the arson a few weeks ago. WhatsApp is testing an ‘undo’ function for its status feature. The feature is similar to Instagram’s stories where posts last for 24 hours before they are auto-deleted. According to WABetaInfo, the WhatsApp Beta Version provides fixes when posting new status updates including an option to undo the status after it is published. “After publishing the status update, the option “Undo” will be momentarily visible: if you select it, the status update will be automatically deleted for everyone. A UK-based mobile connectivity company, World Mobile, has announced the launch of a hybrid mobile network in zanzibar supported by balloons. The company aims to use the low altitude balloons to provide reliable low-cost Internet to people in unconnected regions. Borrowers will now have access to just about half the value of loans they did, after digital lenders cut their loans to shield themselves from defaulters. Twitter will no longer allow sharing of private media without individual consent.
