A Kenyan from Homa Bay county has been detained in India over son’s Ksh1 million pending medical bills. Lydia Achieng is claimed to have taken her son to the MIOT Center for Children’s Cardiac Care in India where her son underwent a specialized surgery. Her one-year-old son underwent an operation to fill a hole in the toddler’s heart. Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji has ordered the arrest of Keroche Breweries directors Tabitha and Joseph Karanja over tax fraud. DPP has ordered that the two be arraigned in court over Ksh14.45 billion tax evasion. According to Haji, investigations into the company have revealed that they have been found guilty of 10 counts of tax fraud. The Kenya Bus Service Management has now faulted the police for not taking action over the rampant number of theft cases reported inside their fleet buses. An officer attached to Vigilance House has become the latest victim of bar drugging following his encounter with two “strange” women. A Kenyan man who was to be deported 10 years ago from England has been sentenced to 13-years in prison following a second robbery he did. Victor Okumu, is reported to have been issued with deportation notice following his first arrest after he had robbed a woman at gunpoint in her own home. Bomet GK prison warden has reportedly killed his girlfriend following a quarrel at Kamukunji Estate.
