Detectives are investigating the murder of a man whose decomposed body was found on the roadside in Imara Daima, Nairobi.  The body was found in a ditch near imara Daima railway station, police said. It is suspected the man was killed elsewhere and the body dumped there. The motive and killers are yet to be known. Locals called police to say the body was lying there with a foul smell emanating from the side it was found. Police said they are yet to identify the man. A Burundi national died after collapsing in his bathroom in Railway, Ngara area, Nairobi.  Police said they are investigating his Asikinazi Hakuzima aged 28 who had gone to take a shower in the the bathroom collapsed and died. Neighbors said he was immediately rushed to Parkroad Nursing Home where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Police visited the facility and found the body lying in the hospital bed with a small mark on the right side of the face near the eyebrow. Maine’s top election official ruled that Donald Trump cannot run for president next year in the state, citing a constitutional insurrection clause. Secretary of State Shenna Bellows said Mr Trump was not eligible because of his actions leading up to the US Capitol riot in 2021. Kenya has reaffirmed its commitment to fulfilling its debt service obligations and maintaining a strong sovereign credit rating, Treasury Cabinet Secretary Njuguna Ndung’u has said. Six suspects were Thursday charged with obtaining Sh2.85 billion from a Malaysian national by pretending that they were in a position to supply him gold. The six appeared before senior principal magistrate Wandia Nyamu where they denied the criminal charge. It is the end of the road for former High Court judge Said Chitembwe after Supreme Court dismissed his appeal implicating him in corruption. A 34-year-old fisherman was killed by a hippopotamus in a tragic incident at Kisui beach, Homa Bay County.  The body of Michael Otieno was discovered few meters away from where his boat was floating by divers who had launched a search on him. Police and locals said the incident happened on Wednesday December 27 morning as Otieno went for fishing expedition alone. Musician and radio host Nazizi Hirji is mourning after her three year old child fell and died while on vacation in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.  Jazeel fell from the fourth floor of a hotel they were staying on Monday and died.
