Immediate former Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji has been sworn in as the new Director General of the National Intelligence Service (NIS). Haji took his oath of office on Wednesday morning at a ceremony presided by President William Ruto at State House, Nairobi. Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji has applied to withdraw graft charges against former Principal Secretary Lilian Omollo. Omollo is facing corruption charges over the misappropriation of Sh468 million at the National Youth Service (NYS). The prosecution has applied to withdraw abuse of office and conspiracy to commit felony charges, among others, under section 87 (a) of the criminal procedure code.
