DCI detectives are hunting for former Mungiki sect leader Maina Njenga. In a statement, DCI boss Mohamed Amin said they are looking for the politician over the recovery of two firearms and over 90 rolls of bhang. The weapons, Mr Amin said, were found at one of Njenga’s homes. “One of the firearms recovered was a homemade pistol capable of firing while the other one was a Tokarev whose serial number had been defaced,” he said. The Jubilee Party has made drastic changes to its leadership during a Special National Delegates Conference (NDC) hosted by retired President Uhuru Kenyatta. The former ruling party on Monday resolved to kick out rebels Kanini Kega, Sabina Chege and Nelson Dzuya. New Life Ministries Pastor Ezekiel Odero now has access to his frozen bank accounts. The investigating officer in his case on Monday confirmed that the banks involved were okay with Odero accessing his accounts. Inspector Martin Munene told the court that from the documentation received none of the accounts was registered under the suspect’s name. Police have arrested one of the key suspects in the contaminated sugar scandal. The suspect was nabbed on Saturday at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) after he arrived from Dubai. The Jubilee Special National Delegates Convention (NDC) will now be held at the Ngong Racecourse, party leader Uhuru Kenyatta has announced. Personal bank accounts belonging to Chief Registrar of the Judiciary, Anne Atieno Amadi, as well as her son Brian Ochieng Amadi and two others have been frozen by the High Court.
