The High Court has quashed Frank Wanyama and Alex Olaba Mahaga’s 15-year custodial sentence and ordered a retrial for the former rugby players who had been convicted for gang rape. Kenya has confirmed 120 new Covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours after testing 2221 samples, Health Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Rashid Aman has said. This now raises the number of infections confirmed in the country since the outbreak of the disease to 6,190. In a statement on Sunday afternoon, Safaricom said that M-Pesa services will undergo planned maintenance between 12am to 5am. 259 more people have tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease (Covid-19) raising the number of cases in the country to 6,070. In a press briefing on Sunday, Health Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Mercy Mwangangi said the cases are from 2,718 samples that were tested in the last 24 hours. Health officials in Nandi County are on a high alert after a detainee at Songhor Police Station in Tinderet constituency tested positive for the Coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
