The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has exposed petrol stations found selling adulterated fuel in various parts of the country in contravention of the law. In a list published on leading local dailies on Wednesday, EPRA also named petrol stations found selling export bound motor fuels in the local market. The 11 petrol stations were flagged during a crackdown conducted between April and June 2021. During the period, the authority said, a total of 5,598 tests were conducted at 1,237 petroleum sites. Kenya’s Covid-19 cases’ tally has risen to 182,597 after 204 people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours from a sample size of 2,971. The country’s positivity rate is now at 6.9%. The 23-year-old, who was abducted on June 15, 2021, from her shop, was rescued a week ago. The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has provided alternative roads for motorists stranded along the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway due to the ongoing World Rally Championships (WRC) Safari Rally in Naivasha, Nakuru County. Peter Mundinia said the ramp from Waiyaki Way to Forest Road will be closed from Monday, June 28 to Sunday, August 1, a period of 34 days. The Kenya Defence Forces has confirmed fatalities in the Thursday morning crash involving a military chopper at OlTepesi area in Ngong, Kajiado County. The KAF helicopter Mi 171 E that was on a training mission crash-landed and burst into flames at around 9am. In a statement, KDF Spokesperson Zippora Kioko said all the passengers on board were accounted for and have been moved to safety.
