Anti-terror Police have recovered a cache of arms at Racecourse in Dagoretti Corner, Nairobi, suspected to have been sneaked into the country for terror activities. A total of 11 examination officials have been arrested in the ongoing Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams, Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha revealed on Wednesday. The CS said the officers who include centre managers and supervisors are linked to cases of exam malpractice including attempts to expose exam papers. The Judiciary has ordered the closure of Runyenjes Law Courts in Embu after eight staffers tested positive for Covid-19. In a statement issued on Wednesday, Acting Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu said the court will remain closed for seven days to allow for fumigation and other Covid-19 protocols aimed at preventing further spread of the virus. Mwilu said the eight of 18 Judiciary personnel at the court have since been sent into self-isolation in accordance with Ministry of Health protocols. A Kiambu court has handed former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu reprieve in a battle to keep luxury vehicles seized over Sh10 million loan. Yesterday, the governor obtained orders restraining Mwananchi Credit Limited from selling his two vehicles to recover the debt. Fuel prices in the country are expected to shoot further, for a fourth time in a row, in a review that will be announced later today by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA). Rescue efforts for endangered giraffes on an island in Lake Baringo, Baringo County, came to an end on Monday with the transportation of the last two animals to the mainland.
