There are plans by the government to have Embakasi East MP, Paul Ongili otherwise known as Babu Owino charged with treason.
Speaking at the Hot 96 morning show, the legislator alleged that the state was planning to have him sentenced to death.
Crimes deemed treasonable include; sedition, intent to undermine or overthrow the government, harm or kill the President or instigate or engage in war against the Republic.
Babu was arrested on Monday 25 September and was charged with subversion, offensive language and incitement to violence.

He is said to have abused the President where he referred to him as ‘mtoto wa mbwa.’
He, in the past week accused officers of trying to inject him with mercury.
The legislator made bail after being arrested twice in a span of two days.
He has said that he will not relent in his fight for justice.
