Capital FM’s weekday evening show ‘Hits Not Homework” is said to planning to launch a talent search show in September.

According to sources within the show, the talent search will see the station try to find a replacement for Amina who might be headed for bigger things elsewhere.

Hits-Not-Homework’s main competition is Jump off hosted by Corine Onyango on HomeBoyz Radio 103.5. The HNH and Jump Off shows target the millennials who mostly listen to US influenced hip-hop and R-n-B with Hits-not-Homework even having a special slot for reggae and ragga.

While Solo and Amina hit it off quite well, the advertisers have not really bought into it such that the management is trying to find ways of replacing the hosts with a new crop of hosts.

Meanwhile, Amina remains one of the most sought after female MCs in the country. She also hosts a show on DSTV’s Maisha Magic channel. It is rumoured that the Turn Up show is doing so well that even the platform owners didn’t know that it would pick as it has.

Amina also hosts a show on K24.
