Police have arrested seven suspects  who are believed to be using the name of DP Ruto and his office to con unsuspecting Kenyans off millions.

700 laptops and three government vehicles were nabbed at a house belonging to Rift valley politician Allan Chesang. The seized government vehicles are branded like those that the DP uses in his convoy.

He claimed that he got a tender to supply 2,800 computers to DP’s office and Treasury. He convinced the supplier with a fake LPO from the deputy president.

Allan Chesang was a political aspirant who failed to garner a seat as member of parliament for Kwanza.

The supplier then got suspicious as he had supplied without receiving money and went to alert the officers attached to the Deputy who traced the suspects to Kyuna estate in Loresho.

The seven were also found with Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and Kenya Ports Authority (KPA)stickers which police suspect they used to gain access without raising eyebrows at the ports while importing.
