    Coke Studio Africa Brings Jason Derulo On Board For Fifth Season

    This year Coke Studio has merged Coke Studio Africa and Coke Studio South Africa into one, Coke Studio Africa 2017.

    After featuring Trey Songs last year, Coke Studio Africa returns for its fifth season with the American R&B artiste Jason Derulo as the guest star for a special episode dubbed the Global Fusion Edition.

    Coca-cola Africa made the announcement on Monday on twitter.

    The American Pop/R&B singer and dancer who recently released one of the hottest jams of 2017 ‘Swalla’ is expected in Nairobi, Kenya this week to participate in the recording of Coca-Cola’s flagship African music show: Coke Studio Africa.

    Two of Africa’s hottest music producers: Masterkraft (Nigeria) and DJ Maphorisa (South Africa) will be tasked with producing all the African artistes and Jason Derulo, after which all the music will be performed and recorded live alongside Coke Studio’s highly talented house band.

    This season will feature Bebe Cool from Uganda, Izzo Bizness from Tanzania, Band Becca from Kenya, Yumi from Nigeria and Nasty C for SA, among others.

    Coke Studio Africa is due to air from August in South and Central Africa markets and from September in East and West Africa.
