    Couple killed, son injured in road accident along Tinganga Road

    A couple was killed in a road accident along the Ndumberi-Tinganga Road, Kiambu County.

    Their one and half-year-old son was injured and admitted in hospital, police said of the November 15, 2025 incident.

    This was after their motorcycle was involved in a road crash. The motorcycle clashed with a salon car. The driver of the salon car escaped the scene in fear of being attacked by other riders.

    Police arrived at the scene and moved the bodies to the mortuary pending investigations and autopsy.

    The car and the motorcycle were towed to the local police station pending other procedures.

    And a rider was found dead in his house after he had been involved in what was thought to be a minor accident in Kangema, Murang’a County.

    Police said the body of Ernest Njuguna, 22 was found in his house a day after the accident in Muringaine area.

    He had been involved in a minor accident at Karugia shopping center and sustained a bruise in the ankle. Locals helped him to his house following the Friday evening accident. He was found dead in his house on Saturday morning.

    Police said they are investigating the incident and the body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other investigations.

    Along Meru-Nanyuki highway, a pedestrian was killed in an accident.

    The car involved in the accident sped off from the scene, police and witnesses said.

    Along the Naivasha-Nakuru railway line, one Brian Kipkorir, 26 was killed by a cargo train.

    Police said the victim was crossing the railway line as the train approached. He was fatally hit. The body was moved to the mortuary pending other procedure.

    Such accidents have been on the rise amid calls for caution when one is crossing the lines.
