A traveler caused commotion in a plane leading to its delay from Kisumu Airport on Monday after he sought to disembark minutes after he had boarded.

The Jambo Jet flight was headed for Nairobi at about 2 pm on August 25 when the passenger shouted saying he had received a call from his pastor who wanted him to attend to an urgent spiritual meeting in Oyugis Town.

    He therefore demanded to disembark.

Efforts to stop him were futile as he insisted that he was ready to disembark.

The plane had 80 passengers and it was ready for take off when the pilots delayed the process.

Witnesses said the pilot informed security at the airport who convened a meeting to discuss the matter.

It was decided that he be allowed to disembark but remain at the airport until when the plane landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

The flight was delayed for 17 minutes in the drama and took off at about 2.45 pm.
