CS Rashid Echesa Visits Atwoli’s Son Philip in Hospital (Photos)

COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli’s son Phillip Kwoba has been discharged from the Nairobi Hospital after two week long stay.

But what caught the people’s attention is the fact that Sports CS Rashid Achesa paid Kwoba, popularly known as OPP a visit at the hospital six days ago.

OPP is apparently his father’s favorite son and is an ardent supporter of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, who Echesa has been at loggerheads with.

On August 5, the CS accused the ODM party leader of wanting him fired from his current post by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

ECHESA was before defecting to Jubilee, an ODM national youth leader, something he says did not sit well with the former PM.

“With all due respect, I am not your (Raila’s) equal. The President was not stupid to appoint me. He knew the country had professors but I was still appointed,” the CS said.

OPP, who is an employee of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) was admitted after undergoing a minor operation and was placed at the High Dependency Unit for 10 days.

His father, wife and Western region leaders have been at his bedside, including Cleophas Malala.

This comes after the trade unionist was accused by his second wife Rosalinder Atwoli of abandoning and threatening to throw her out of their matrimonial home.

Last week he was once again said to have thrown her out of their Kileleshwa home after she apparently overstayed her welcome.

Atwoli has since moved on with TV beauty, Mary Kilobi.
