Since joining the Stormers, Roos has become an integral part of the starting XV.
He made an immediate impact, and by the 2021-22 season, he was one of the standout players in the competition.
His performance was pivotal in the Stormers’ successful campaign to win the inaugural URC title.
Known for his aggressive ball-carrying, he consistently ranks highly for carries, metres made, and post-contact metres, demonstrating his ability to break tackles and gain crucial territory.
His international career began when he made his Springbok debut on 9 July 2022 against Wales, earning him the title of Springbok #924.
He has since earned multiple caps for the national team.
Accolades
Roos burst onto the scene by winning the URC Players’ Player of the Season award in 2022, a remarkable achievement at just 22 years old.
This recognition from his peers underscored his status as one of the league’s premier talents.
More recently, his try-scoring prowess has been undeniable.
He finished the 2025/26 URC regular season as the league’s top try scorer with 12 tries, earning him the OFX Top Try Scorer Award.
His consistency was further recognised when he was named in the URC Elite XV for the same season, voted for by a media selection panel.
