A Kenyan woman, identified as Evelyn Misumi was arrested in Texas on Wednesday after she tried to rob a Bank of America branch in Texas armed with a hammer, gasoline & lighter fluid.
According to witnesses, Evelyn poured gasoline and lighter fluid in the bank’s lobby and started demanding cash from the tellers while waving the hammer.
Police were called to the scene and immediately the 36 year old ran to her car and grabbed her 9 month old baby that she used as a shield during the incident.

Police tried different ways to incapacitate the woman but none of them worked. After a standoff, the woman finally surrendered.
Evelyn was arrested and taken to Collin County jail where she is being held and is set to face robbery and endangering a child charges.
