    Former Nairobi Governor Kidero Failed To Account For Sh. 21Billion, KPMG Report Exposes

    Former Nairobi governor  Dr. Evans Kidero left the office with Sh. 21billion unaccounted according to the KPMG audit report. The Money was not accounted for in the handover report and some file were missing there there was no trace of the payments.

    The audit also found that there statutory deductions amounting to Sh 22.8 billion was also not remitted during Dr. Evans Kidero tenure.

    Nairobi County Governor Mike Sonko said that he would take legal action on those who looted county money.

    The KPMG audit report also indicated that when Banks were asked on bank accounts that were opened they declined to Respond. The accounts which had more than Sh. 12o million were not declared.

    They also said that the bill that was given per department was slightly more than the one that was given in the hand over report therefore the risk was higher that what they might have.
