    Four Varsity Students Arrested Over Suspected Robbery Incidents in Ruai, Juja

    DCI detectives have in custody four university students over suspected robbery.

    According to the DCI, one of the suspects is a student at Kenyatta University while the others are pursuing a degree course in Development Studies at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).

    The four freshmen are believed to be part of a gang behind incidents of violent robberies in Ruai, Juja, Kayole, and surrounding areas.

    On Saturday, officers from Makadara, Ruai, Embakasi and Kayole, in a joint operation busted the suspected gang at their single-room apartment at Kwa Benson apartments in Juja’s Container area.

    The officers discovered an imitation of a Glock pistol, 8 used 9×19mm special cartridges, one empty pistol magazine, one white plastic face mask, and 2 laptops believed to have been stolen.

    The suspects are; Richard Lankisa (18), Brian Kituku (19) and Emmanuel Nyangwencha (18).

    The scene has since been processed by crime scene detectives based at DCI Thika.

    The suspected robbers are being held at Juja Police Station pending further interrogation and arraignment.
