Motorists in Nairobi will now pay Ksh113.54 for a litre of super petrol and Ksh112.28 for diesel while kerosene users will part with Ksh105.22.
“The prices are inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT) at 8% in line with the provisions of the Finance Act 2018,” said ERC in a statement.

The changes in this month’s prices have been as a consequence of the average landed cost of imported Super Petrol decreasing by 8.46 per cent from USD758.34 (approximately Ksh76,000) per ton in October 2018 to USD694.18 (Ksh70,000) per ton in November 2018.
Diesel price decreased by 2.58 per cent from USD741.33 (Ksh74,000) per ton to USD722.17 (Ksh72,000) per ton and Kerosene decreasing by 11.12 per cent from USD763.47 (Ksh76,000) per ton to USD678.57 (Ksh68,000) per ton.
The new prices will be in force from December 15, 2018 to January 14, 2019, when the commission will do another review.
This comes as relieve to Kenyans, who have been experiencing an upward movement of the important commodity in food processing and production.
