Gor Mahia beat Ulinzi Stars 2-1 at the Nakuru’s Afraha Stadium in a rescheduled Kenyan Premier League game on Monday to widen the gap at the top.

Two goals from Ugandan Erisa Ssekisambu and former Ulinzi Stars forward Samuel Onyango sealed all the three points for K’Ogalo.

The hosts scored through Enosh Ochieng’.

Erisa scored one of the fastest goals in the league this season – heading home Francis Mustafa’s inviting cross from the right seconds into the game.

But Ulinzi equalized in the second half, with Enosh taking full advantage of a poor clearance from a corner kick to pop home a loose ball in the 76th minute.

Gor Mahia restored their lead in the 86th minute with a quick break which Onyango finished with a single touch to kill the game.

The victory stretches Gor Mahia’s lead to 58 points, 9 clear of second placed Sofapaka.
