Harambee Stars intensified training at the Kasarani Stadium on Tuesday morning as they prepared for their final Afcon 2019 Group F qualifier away to Ghana’s Black Stars on Saturday in Accra.

Key members of the squad including the skipper and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama were present and looked happy.

Zesco United trio Jesse Were, Anthony Akumu and David Owino ‘Calabar’ were also in the mix.

Jesse, who scored in Zesco’s 2-1 win over Asante Kotoko of Ghana in the Caf Confederation Cup at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, Ndola – Zambia on Sunday is returning to the squad after sometime in the cold.

Despite his prolific form for Zesco, Jesse was initially overlooked by coach Sebastian Migne but was given a late call up as a replacement for injured Michael Olunga of Kashiwa Reysol in Japan.

New call up Christopher Tangeni Mbamba graced the morning session.

The 26-year-old Harare born midfielder who plies his trade with Swedish Third division side Oskarshamns AIK declared his interest to play for Kenya in February 2019 has previously featured for Sweden U-17.
