    Adobe Photoshop is a versatile and powerful tool used by photographers, designers, and artists worldwide. Over time, you may customize its layout to suit your preferences. However, if you ever need to revert to the default Photoshop layout, it’s a straightforward process. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the steps to how to reset the Photoshop layout.

    Step 1: Open Adobe Photoshop

    In the “Window” menu, hover your cursor over “Workspace” to reveal a submenu.

    Within the “Workspace” submenu, you’ll see several preset workspace options. To reset Photoshop to its default layout, click on “Essentials (Default).” This action will instantly revert your workspace to the standard configuration.

    How to Reset the Photoshop Layout

    Step 5: Confirm the Reset

    After selecting “Essentials (Default),” Photoshop will ask you if you want to reset the workspace. Click “Yes” to confirm and reset the layout.

    Step 6: Restart Photoshop

    To apply the changes fully, it’s a good practice to restart Photoshop. Close the application and reopen it.

    Step 7: Check the Default Layout

    Upon reopening Photoshop, you’ll notice that the workspace layout has returned to its default settings. All panels, tools, and windows will be arranged as they are in the standard Photoshop layout.

    Optional Step: Customize Your Layout

    If you wish to customize your Photoshop workspace again, feel free to move, resize, or group panels as needed. You can also save your custom workspace configuration by going to “Window” > “Workspace” > “New Workspace.” This way, you can easily switch between your custom layout and the default one.

    Resetting your Photoshop layout to its default settings is a useful skill to have, especially if you ever encounter layout issues or want to start with a clean slate. Whether you’re a Photoshop beginner or a seasoned pro, this guide ensures you can always return to the familiar default workspace whenever needed.
