    Itumbi, Omanga, Kidero Among 224 Shortlisted for CAS Job

    Digital Strategist Dennis Itumbi is among 224 individuals shortlisted for the Cabinet Administrative Secretaries (CAS) post.

    Also making the list are former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero and ex Knut secretary general Wilson Sossion.

    Others who have been shortlisted by the Public Service Commission include former governors Patrick Simiyu Khaemba (Trans Nzoia), James Ongwae (Kisii), Moses Lenolkulal (Samburu) and Samuel Tunai (Narok).

    Former Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala, Dennitah Ghati (PWD) (Migori), Caleb Kositany (former Soy MP), Chris Wamalwa (Former Kiminini MP), Charles Njaguar alias Jaguar (Former Starehe MP) and Nicholas Gumbo (former MP, Rarieda) are also set to be interviewed for the position by the PSC.

    Poll losers such as former football star McDonald Mariga, former Kisumu senator Fredrick Outa, Kirinyaga governor aspirant Purity Wangui Ngirici and former nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura, ex-journalist Mwanaisha Chidzuga and former Deputy Governor of Makueni County, Adelina Mwau also made the list.

    Former Women Rep Catherine Waruguru, Bishop Margaret Wanjiru and Millicent Omanga have also been shortlisted.

    PSC said the publication of the names followed the conclusion of the shortlisting exercise pursuant to the provisions of Article 132(4)(a) of the Constitution and Section 30 of the Public Service Commission Act, 2017.

    “The shortlisted candidates will be interviewed at the Public Service Commission, off Harambee Avenue Nairobi starting on 1st March 2023. The interview schedule showing the date and time is accessible on the Commission’s website,” PSC said.

    Candidates have been asked to bring originals of their National Identity Cards, Academic and Professional certificates and transcripts and any other supporting documents and testimonials.

    They should also carry with them current and valid clearances from the following Kenya Revenue Authority; Higher Education Loans Board; a Registered Credit Reference Bureau; Directorate of Criminal Investigations (Police Clearance Certifcate) and a Printed Online Self-declaration Application Acknowledgement Receipt or a Self-Declaration Form duly signed.
