    Cyrus Jirongo’s Bodyguard Attacked By Mob, Dandora

    jirongoOne of Cyrus Jirongo’s bodyguards was during the weekend attacked by a mob in Dandora.

    The officer is said to have been visiting a friend in Dandora’s phase three when he picked a fight with another man.

    He is said to have drawn his weapon and shot in the air twice. A mob tried to accost him as he tried to leave.

    According to the police, the gunshots caught their attention and made their way to the area.

    County Commander, Japheth Koome said they are investigating the incident. The bodyguard has been apprehended and is being held for questioning.

    Jirongo is vying for the country’s top seat on a United Democratic Party.
