The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced several senior job vacancies on both contract and permanent and pensionable terms.

In a public notice, the authority invited applications from qualified Kenyans to fill the positions. KeNHA said the contract roles will run for up to five years, subject to performance, legal requirements and the mandatory retirement age.

“The Authority invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following positions on permanent and pensionable and contract terms of service of up to five (5) years (subject to legal review) or as otherwise provided under any written law, renewable subject to performance and mandatory retirement age,” the authority said.

Among the advertised positions is that of Director General, which will be filled on a contract basis.

Other vacancies include Deputy Director, Legal and Board Services, and Assistant Director, Land Valuation and Administration, which are available on permanent and pensionable terms.

KeNHA said full job descriptions and requirements are available on its website, www.kenha.co.ke.

Interested applicants are required to submit their applications online through the KeNHA website and attach copies of their National Identity Card, curriculum vitae, academic and professional certificates, and testimonials.

Applications must be received by January 12, 2026, at 5.00 pm.

KeNHA noted that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews. The authority also warned that canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to meet the Leadership and Integrity standards set out in Chapter Six of the Constitution. During the interview, they must present clearance certificates from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), the National Police Service, and a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).

Applications should be addressed to the Chairperson of the Board of Directors, Kenya National Highways Authority, Barabara Plaza, near Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, along Mazao Road, Nairobi.
