Kiambu residents are an unhappy lot especially with Governor Ferdinand Waititu for his latest county appointments.
According to them, the county assembly and county executive committee nominees are a ‘joke.’
Waititu and his deputy have been accused of handing out the appointments to their friends in the media.
The two have been said to have nominated Kameme Fm’s Moses Kanyira as the CEC Youth and Sports, a position formerly held by Machel Waikenda.
Kanyira is said to have been a part of a media team campaigning for the duo on air.
The Kiambu Woman Representative personal assistant, Mercy Nungari also made the list. She was the co-host to a popular vernacular show; Muiguithania.

One resident argued that the cabinet positions should be filled by Kiambu constituents who are more than qualified, making reference to the fact that Kanyira hailed from Nyeri county.
Another resident said the CEC appointments should made in a manner that unites the people.
