ODM leaders in Kisumu have warned against police brutality and ethnic cleansing which they assert will lead to radicalization.

Kisumu Assembly speaker Onyango Oloo who termed the situation as “disaster in waiting” added that use excessive force while restraining NASA supporters will lead to an inevitable radicalization of the youth.

“One day, Kenyans will say enough is enough and revolt against the government and no one will stop them from taking over power,” he said averring that “the more you kill us, the more we will get radicalized and will not fear your guns and bullets.”

Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyong’o mused over the rough treatment of a Premier saying never has he seen “a prime minister treated as Raila Odinga was teed on Friday.”

Nyong’o was referring to the chaos that engulfed Odinga’s grand welcoming that saw lives lost after police engaged him, his convoy and supporters in battle.

He reiterated that NASA is on course for a liberation and will not relent until “we liberate this country from authoritarian regime,” Nyong’o said.

So far, more than 20 people have lost their lives in separate but tied incidents of police brutality and ethnic cleansing in Nairobi following the chaotic homecoming of Odinga last Friday
