Kitui West By Election Slated For March, Nyenze’s Widow Floated As Wiper Candidate

The Independence electoral and boundaries commission (IEBC) has slated the by election for Kitui West to be on March 26.

Wiper which is the strongest party in the region has fronted the widow of the late MP Francis nyeze, Edith Nyenze as the best successor for the seat.

Edith Nyenze is yet to publicly declare her bid but Kitui governor Charity Ngilu has promised to help the widow if she manages to clinch the seat.

The seat fell vacant following the demise of Francis Nyenze who succumbed to lung cancer barely two months after his re election.
