As fanatics of Fatuma Zarika, popularly known as the Iron Fist, continue to celebrate the boxer’s Saturday night victory, Kenyans on Twitter have a different story to tell.

The disappointed lovers of the game, now say Catherine Phiri was robbed the victory she well deserved.

The fans, acknowledge that Zarika, the World Boxing Council (WBC) women Super bantamweight champion, dominated in the opening rounds.

However, minutes into the fight, the fans claim, Zambian’s Phiri seemed to have overpowered Zarika.

KOT faulted the Judges for the impartiality displayed during #NairobiNightFight.

They accused a grey haired man ‘Septuagenarian’ of incompetency. He is said to be an officer in the ministry of Youth and Sports.

@mubianamulemwa said “What a shame, it’s sad to see rigged results. The fight needs to be taken to a neutral venue #NairobiFightNight.”

“I’m a Kenyan but I just witnessed Africa’s corruption first hand. Phiri beat Fatuma Zarika hands down but they decided Fatuma won by anonymous decision,” @allen_arnold wote.

MuthokaTito said “You and I know the winner of last night’s #ZarikaPhiri super bantamweight match. Seems the match judges knew otherwise. Highly likely the Harambee Stars match against Ghana was also fixed!!! #NairobiFightNight.”

@festus_kei said “Just like how phiri won yesterday against @FatumaZarika in #NairobiFightNight.

This the same way @MountKenyaUni is robbing its students with poor services.

    #MKuLockinginfinitePossibilities #DoubleWahalaReloaded.”

@LawrenceObonyo opine “The true definition of “mcheza kwao hutuzwa “. Second time Zarika is getting an undeserved win #NairobiFightNight.”

“Nimekua nikiogopa @FatumaZarika but kutoka ile war aliona jana pia mimi namtaka nikanyage kichwa kama nyoka #NairobiFightNight,” @KanunuKirimi wrote.

“Zarika won the same way your boss will win this war on corruption. Kimeibwa #NairobiFightNight If you know, you know!” @KwanzaMwenzako said.

“#NairobiFightNight am watching a repeat and @cartherine phiri won the fight”, Makasa Chishimba said.

“@kidjokahiu You guys are the best thieves. That’s why I left Nairobi #NairobiFightNight,” Mbola Mwila.

On the other hand, others felt Zarika’s victory was justified

Samuel Kareithi wrote “zarika was strategic not just throwing punches anyhow like Catherine but looking for points is what matters if u can’t understand that  then u know nothing about boxing go watch ur Village women fights that what ur used to. #NairobiFightNight.”

@RuttoKenneth said “Why Do Kenyans pretend to be boxing  judges?  Zarika  won Clean game hapa  ni  points not punches #NairobiFightNight.”

It was the second time Zarika was fighting the Zambian and emerging victorious, having clashed in 2017.

    Am trying understand this….
Phiri lost but was left spotless and smooth
Zarika won but was left with scars…..
Nothing in Kenya is fairly won. #NairobiFightNight #SundayMotivation pic.twitter.com/tzD0vTcZY3
