governmentThe government has asked all the 47 Woman Representatives who sat during the 11th parliament to return the cars given to them during their tenure.

The Ministry of Youth and Gender Affairs CS Sicily Kariuki noted that most of the Mps had lost but were still using the government owned vehicles.

While speaking at the Kenya School of Government, she said that the cars were meant for elected Members of Parliament and as such should speedily return them to ensure a smooth transition.

”A substantive number of Woman Representatives have lost their seats and subsequently their roles as patrons of the fund at the county level,” the CS said.

The former Mps will be required to hand over the vehicles to their respective County Commissioners.

The MPs were at the beginning of their term allocated 10 million each to purchase the vehicles.
