Luka is the oldest child in his family and has two younger sisters, Jasmina Modrić and Diora Modrić.

Both sisters have largely stayed out of the public spotlight but remain close to Luka and have been supportive of his career, often appearing as dedicated Real Madrid fans and attending matches to cheer him on.

The tight-knit Modrić family has maintained strong bonds despite the demands of his professional life.

    Career

Modrić began his senior career at Dinamo Zagreb, where he developed into a star after loan spells at Zrinjski Mostar and Inter Zaprešić.

He helped Dinamo secure multiple league titles and domestic cups before moving to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League in 2008.

After 13 trophy-laden seasons with Los Blancos, he transferred to AC Milan on a free transfer in July 2025.

Internationally, he has been a mainstay for Croatia since his debut in 2006, captaining the side to the 2018 FIFA World Cup final, where he earned the Golden Ball as the tournament’s best player, and securing third place in 2022.
