A section of NASA leader Raila Odinga’s supporters from Luo Nyanza have openly expressed disquiet over his alleged decision not to be sworn in on Tuesday.

The Daily Nation had carried a story claiming that during NASA leaders consultative meeting at the Maanzoni Ranch in Machakos County, the coalition’s hardliners had pushed during a five hour meeting for Odinga to be sworn in on Tuesday alongside Uhuru Kenyatta in separate ceremonies but he turned down the push.

Odinga is said to have called for caution, citing his international image, and his respect for the law and the Constitution he helped birth.

It is said that even though he believes he legitimately won the August 8 poll, the former Prime Minister refused the parallel swearing in and opted to chaperon for a more vigorous push for change in the country using his proposed People’s Assemblies, civil disobedience and select product boycott.

His supporters mainly from Luo Nyanza took to social media to harshly criticize Odinga claiming their support and those whose lives were lost has therefore been in vain.

I'll not be at the Kasarani Stadium to witness the beautification of an atrocity and the bedecking of despots. I'll not be at the Jacaranda Grounds to prostrate myself in surrender to fraudsters. I'll only mourn our heroes, heroines and martyrs AFTER LIBERATION! #NRM #Resist
