A 54-year-old woman was found dead after she had been clobbered by her husband in an altercation in Ayany, Nairobi.
Police said the body of the Ugandan national Agnes Wetunga was found on the bed after the murder on Sunday February 2 night.
Her husband told police they had a domestic quarrel that turned fatal.
This was after he hit her on the head in the altercation.
The body of the woman had a cut on the left side of the forehead and was blood oozing from the mouth.
The man was arrested as the body of the woman was moved to the Nairobi Funeral Home.
Police said they are investigating murder for now.
In Kibra, Nairobi, one Pamela Phoebe Otiende, 44 was electrocuted in a tragic incident.
Police said the incident happened in Gatwekera area after the woman attempted to rescue her 24-year-old daughter hanging clothes on the cloth line.
The daughter had been hit by the live wire that had been connected to the clothesline and screamed for help when the mother rushed to her rescue.
She was electrocuted in the process.
Both were rushed to Coptic Hospital where the mother was pronounced dead on arrival while the daughter was admitted in stable condition.
The deceased body was moved to the hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem. Police say cases of electrocution are high in informal settlements.
Elsewhere in Kingeero, Kiambu County, one Rhoda Wanjiru, 55 collapsed and died in her house.
The woman was rushed to Wangige Level Five Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival. The body was moved to Kihara Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
Police said they are yet to establish the cause of the death.
In Nyeriās Wambugu Farm area within Ruringu area one Mugure Wairimu died after she had collapsed.
She had also complained of severe chest pains.
She was rushed to Outspan Hospital Nyeri where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
