A man was burnt to death in a fire incident in his house in Narok Town.

Police said the incident happened on Monday morning, affecting iron sheet-made structures.

The fire started from one of the affected structures before spreading fast to others and reducing them to ashes.

It was then that the body of one Anthony Mwangi was found badly burnt.

He was sleeping in his house when the fire broke out. Several other families were left homeless by the fire incident.

Police said the cause of the fire is yet to be established. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.

In Olmoran, Laikipia County, a 16-year-old boy was found drowned in a water pan.

Police said they are yet to establish the circumstances under which the victim drowned. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other investigations.

Meanwhile, police in Bamburi, Mombasa County are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in her house.

A friend had gone to visit the victim and found her door closed and there was no response from inside. This was after she failed to respond to her calls and texts.

It was then she called police who arrived and broke in where they found the body of Rehema Karisa, 30 lying on bed.

Police said the body had no visible injuries at the time of its discovery. Police said the woman stayed alone at the time of her death. Her family was informed of the incident and said they want to know how she died.

Neighbours said they had not seen her for two days. They described her as a quiet woman.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
