A 40-year-old man died while undergoing treatment following an alleged assault near Shooters Bar in the Airport area of Githurai 44, Nairobi.

According to the police, the incident was reported on April 10, 2026, at 10:55 a.m. The deceased, identified as Michael Karanja Kamau, had been admitted at Thika Level 5 Hospital after reportedly being attacked by individuals known to him.

Police said the victim sustained a serious head injury, with
a blood clot forming on the left side of his head where he had been struck.

He was taken into surgery in an attempt to remove the clot, but he died shortly after the procedure at around 10:00 a.m.

The body has since been moved to General Kago Mortuary in Thika, where it is awaiting a postmortem examination.

Authorities have launched investigations into the incident, with efforts underway to trace and apprehend the suspects involved in the fatal assault.

Elsewhere, residents of Kaplelilon village in Tinderet Sub-County, Nandi County, are in shock after the body of a 60-year-old woman was discovered lying along a footpath leading to her home.

According to the police, the incident was reported on April 10, 2026, at around 12:30 p.m.

The deceased was identified as Rosebellah Jeptoo Birech.

Police visited the scene and established that the body was lying motionless with no visible physical injuries.

The scene was processed and the body moved to Nandi Hills Hospital Mortuary, where a postmortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

Authorities have launched investigations into the incident.

And a domestic dispute between two brothers in Navakholo Sub-County, Kakamega County, turned deadly after one of them was killed and his body set on fire.

The incident was reported on April 10, 2026, at around 6:02 a.m.

Police said the altercation involved two brothers—Solomon Wesanza Amumbwa, who is now deceased, and Stephen Akhanu, the suspect. The dispute reportedly arose after Akhanu accused his brother of stealing his phone and money.

The disagreement escalated into a violent confrontation in which the deceased sustained injuries to the leg. In the heat of the moment, he allegedly set his brother’s house on fire.

The suspect is then said to have retaliated by torching the deceased’s house before attacking him with crude weapons.

Solomon Wesanza Amumbwa suffered severe head injuries and died on the spot. Police further reported that the suspect proceeded to set the deceased’s body on fire.
