Striker Mark Makwatta has formally bid AFC Leopards goodbye as he begins a new life with Zambian side Zesco United.

The leading KPL top scorer with 13 goals recently completed a move to the Ndola based side at a time he was enjoying top form.

In a Facebook post, the former Ulinzi Stars and Buildcon striker thanked the Ingwe fraternity for support and wished success.

“Thank you all the Afc Leopards fraternity, very supportive and protective environment I’ve ever worked in, I want to wish the club success. Goodbyes are sometimes hard but all I can say as I leave is “there’s always an opportunity even in the bad times.”

Ingwe has enjoyed a fine run in the league as are presently on a three-match winning streak. The team is placed sixth on 34 points.
